The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions towards the community.
SASSA is going to be rendering solutions such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a statement, the agency explained it really is alarmed in regards to the high variety of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The intention of your Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your significant number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“That is due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no absolutely functional office dedicated to service the area on a regular basis. The service level made for intervention experiences a large inflow of opportunity beneficiaries, which makes it challenging to the Workplace to attend to all people who stop by a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more assets to empower the servicing of all prospects and increase entry to Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
